Albert Rakowitz

Albert Edward Rakowitz was born on April 17, 1943 in LaSalle, TX. He passed away on April 4, 2015, in San Antonio, TX at the age of 71. Albert is preceded in death by siblings: Gertrude Tegeler Stark, Mary Boehm, Frances Tudyk, Raymond Rakowitz, and Anna Reyher. Siblings still living are: Justine Vesley, Ruby Sawyer, and Dorothy Hagen. Albert is also survived by his wife, Maxine Rakowitz and his children: Edward Rakowitz, fiancé Lauralee Randol, Beverly Miller, husband Leavie, David Rakowitz,wife Kathy. His grandchildren: Justin Rakowitz, Katie Hodges, Claire Rakowitz, Kalin Rakowitz, Camille Rakowitz, Yancey Miller, Abigail Miller, Zachary Miller, and soon to be included in family, Karie Ann Randol, Mattie Randol, Macie Randol, and Colton Randol. Albert was a longtime resident of Marion, TX, he worked as a mechanic, salesman, and longtime owner/operator of Riverside Resort. He was creative and able to fix just about anything. He would often create unique "fixes", while solving a problem, or repairing an item. Albert worked hard, but he did enjoy fishing and hunting as often as he could. His favorite pastime of all was most definitely spending time with his family. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Schertz Funeral Home from 5:00PM - 8:00PM with a rosary to be recited at 6:00PM. The funeral service will held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 10:00AM, with interment to follow to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
