Agustin Palacios

Agustin Tony Palacios III, born August 5, 1948, passed away on January 31, 2008 at his home. Tony was born in Havana,Cuba and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was preceded in death by his father, Agustin Palacios II and brother, Arnaldo Palacios. Tony spent the first part of his career as an aerospace engineer, beginning his career with Eastern Airlines and then going to work for The Garrett Company (later becoming Allied Signal) as a regional director. In September of 1997, Tony embarked on his entrepreneurial career and in August 2004, he was asked by founding pastor, Gary Adams to build Cross Mountain Church. His partner in this project was Phil Altheid. The church was dedicated in December 2005. From 2005 until his illness, he spent the rest of his days with Agora Ministries and other work for the Lord. Tony is survived by the love of his life, best friend and wife, Kolette Palacios and their daughter, Sara; son, Agustin Palacios IV & wife, Vanessa; daughters, Christina Palacios, Barbara Card, Jennifer Palacios, Rachael Bezrucik & husband, Stan Bezrucik; grandsons, Anthony & Jeremy Palacios; granddaughter, Emma Lydle; mother, Ondina Abreu; sisters, Arleen Palacios & Mary Ann Palacios and brother, Frank Palacios. Graveside Services & Interment will be held at 10:00 AM on February 5, 2008 at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, 17501 Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio, Texas followed by a memorial at Cross Mountain Church at 24891 Boerne Stage Road, San Antonio, Texas. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to: Agora Ministries, 1807 San Fernando St., San Antonio, TX 78207 or Hope Hospice of New Braunfels, 611 Walnut Ave. New Braunfels, TX 78130.
