Adela C. Ortiz, age 57 of Marion, passed away on February 4, 2008. She was born to Celestino & Braulia Carranza on December 2, 1950 in Marion, Texas. Adela was preceded in death by her father, Celestino Carranza and husband, Daniel Ortiz. She is survived by her mother, Braulia V. Carranza, Marion; sons, Adam Ortiz, Houston and Andres Ortiz, Marion; brothers, Enrique Carranza, Universal City, Emilio Carranza, and wife, Gloria, Schertz, Casimiro Carranza & wife, Laila, Schertz, Cecilio Carranza & wife, Janie, Marion and Francisco Carranza & wife, Jovita, Schertz; sisters, Lillie Porter & husband, Mike, Oakwood, OH, Florinda Ayala & husband, Enrique, New Braunfels, Cruz Guerra & husband, Felipe, San Antonio, Marta Ortega & husband, Adolfo, Marion, Rita Ramirez & husband, Jr., Marion, formerly of Defiance, Ohio; Beatrice Duran & husband, Salomon, Marion and Consuelo Carranza, Marion & grandchildren, Antheny Ortiz and Adriana Ortiz. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 8, 2008 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Marion Cemetery, Marion, Texas.
