Adan Gonzalez
August 25, 1935 — June 10, 2015
Adan Carrizales Gonzalez, 79, of Asherton, Texas, passed away peacefully June 10, 2015 at his Schertz home with his family at his side. Adan's military career included four years of service in the US Army. After his Honorable Discharge, he joined the US Air Force, where he proudly served an additional 20 years until his retirement. He attended Southwest Texas State University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science while working as a Finance Administrator until his retirement from Civil Service at Fort Sam Houston. He is preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Luisa Gonzalez, and his brothers, Nolasco (Laco) Gonzalez and Ruffo (RC) Gonzalez. Adan is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary; daughters, Cindy J. Gonzalez of Schertz, Texas, and Adriana (Diane) Lamberth and husband, Frank, of Washington, DC; sons, Adan Danny Gonzalez of Schertz,Texas, Carlos Gonzalez of Schertz,Texas; grandchildren, Frankie Lamberth, Joshua Lamberth and Lacey Lamberth of Washington,DC; sister, Irma Gonzalez of Asherton,Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the Schertz Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at 9:30 AM, at the Schertz Funeral Home, Father Ed Pavlicek officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with United States Air Force Honors.
