In memory of our dear friend and family member Adam D. Saucedo who passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024.
Adam was born on November 4, 1948 in Lockney, Texas. He grew up in Kyle, Texas and in 1996 he married Olivia and they moved to Marion, Texas.
Adam worked at Camp Mabry for 28 years and in 2011 he retired. After his retirement he proudly served his community for several years by volunteering at the Marion Food Bank. He was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church where he served on the Knights of Columbus for 9 years and volunteered for the annual fish fry. He took pride in becoming the bell-ringer before church services and on August 4, 2024 the church dedicated a plaque in honor of his service.
Adam's favorite hobbies included dancing, fishing, wood work and traveling with his wife. On Sunday evenings you could find him sitting on the back porch of his home listening to the oldies and Tejano music while "drinking his favorite adult beverage". I think we all know what that was.
Adam touched many lives in his lifetime and I'm sure you have your favorite stories, treasure those memories always.
Adam is preceded in death by his parents Angelina and George Saucedo Sr, sisters Hortencia Cisneros and Mary Soto; brothers Thomas Villanueva, Sam Saucedo, George Saucedo Il and Paul Saucedo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Olivia Saucedo; twin sister Eva Cano (husband Gilbert), his children Alice Husted, Adam Saucedo Jr (wife Becka) and Jamie Chvarak (husband Mike and his grandchildren Collin and Natalia Husted; his stepchildren Daniel Gutierrez (wife Laura), David Gutierrez (wife Victoria), Christina Torres (husband Guillermo), and Carrie Ferguson (husband Shawn); step grandchildren David Gutierrez Jr, Devin Gutierrez, Dylan Gutierrez, Aspen Ferguson, Geraldine Quintana and Pablo Torres; step great granddaughter Kollyns Gutierrez and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Please let us express the family's gratitude for your presence and many prayers you have shared, grief is a walk we should not walk alone and knowing you have support from family and friends is valuable.
Adam, your presence will be missed and your memories treasured, rest in peace.
