Ada Mcdaniel

February 15, 1920 — July 14, 2011

Ada McDaniel passed away on July 14, 2011 at the age of 91 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James McDaniel, son, Joseph McDaniel and parents, Jose Caballero Gonzalez and Maria Molina Gonzalez. She is survived by daughter, Lynne Bartholmae, Duluth Georgia; sons, Jim McDaniel, Austin, Texas, Rodney McDaniel, Schertz, Texas; and brother, Roger Gonzalez, El Paso, Texas; grandchildren; Sara Bashor, Cumming, Georgia, Cory Bartholmae, Duluth, Georgia, Travis McDaniel and Evan McDaniel, Schertz, Texas; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Bashor, Cumming, Georgia, and Landon Bartholmae, Duluth, Georgia. Ada was a civil service employee for 35 years; loved gardening and tennis. Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Schertz Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11:45am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,family requests memorial contributions be made to: The American Heart Association or The American Kidney Foundation.
