Abbi Lynn Malish

Abbi Lynn Malish, born February 27, 1984, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2025. A shining light and inspiration, she always had a smile to share. 

Although Abbi was confined to a wheelchair, she overcame her obstacles to achieve great things. What she lacked physically, God multiplied in her mind and spirit. 

Abbi graduated in December 2024 Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M San Antonio. Previously, she graduated with Honors at San Antonio Community College and successfully completed theological studies. Her true passion in life was her deep faith. 

Abbi is survived by her mother, Cathy Smierciak, sister, Jessica Malish, grandfathers, Robert Dietz and Rudy Malish, aunts, Lori Van De Walle (Danny), Linda Dietz, uncles Robert Dietz, Jr. (Debbi), Kristen Malish and numerous beloved cousins and family members. Her nanas, Patricia Dietz and Leslie Malish, preceded her in death and greeted her in Heaven. 

A celebration of life for Abbi will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 10:00 at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154.
