Matthew Stecher

Matthew Harrington Stecher, age 22, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Cibolo, Texas. Matthew was born on November 3, 1996 in Austin, Texas. Matthew graduated from Steele High School where he lettered in swimming. He also attended Texas State University in San Marcos. Matthew cared about people in the purest way. He loved them for who they were and because he wished the best of them. Matthew had so much kindness in his heart. The world is much dimmer without him! He cherished his friends and loved his family and pets.
He leaves behind his mother and father, Jim and Tracy Stecher of Cibolo, Texas. He is also survived by his grandmothers Paula Smith of Kingsville, Texas and Mary Stecher of Northfield, New Jersey, his aunt Mary Stecher, and uncle Patrick Stecher. Matthew was loved by many more extended family. He will stay with us all forever through our many happy memories of all the things he loved to do and his quick wit. We will see him everywhere for the rest of our lives! No other child was ever loved more! Matthew will truly be loved and missed forever!!
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas.
